The Annual Juried Student Art Show features works submitted by Chico State art students and selected by a guest juror. A highly anticipated event, the exhibition presents an impressive range of approaches, concepts, and media, including ceramics, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture and digital media.
Guest Juror: Aimee Le Duc
This year’s guest juror is Bay Area curator Aimee Le Duc. Le Duc recently served as the Executive Director of the Berkeley Art Center, where she initiated the Agility Projects, commissioning new works by emerging artists. Her professional positions also include Galleries Manager for the San Francisco Arts Commission and Associate Director of the non-profit arts space Southern Exposure. Le Duc’s critical writing has appeared in Frieze, Sculpture, the Journal for Aesthetics and Protest, and Art Practical, among publications. She is currently the chair of the Awards Committee for SECA at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and is on the Programming Committee of the San Francisco Camerawork Board of Directors. Le Duc holds an MA in Visual Criticism and an MFA in Creative Writing from the California College of the Arts, San Francisco.
