Walk & Talk with Kelly Lindner and Jason Tannen
Tuesday, September 19, 5 p.m.
Jacki Headley University Art Gallery
Join the Jacki Headley University Art Gallery for an informal gallery experience exploring the exhibition Two Truths & A Lie. Kelly Lindner, Curator of the Jacki headley University Art Gallery, and photographer Jason Tannen will lead a lively discussion through the exhibition and highlight particular themes as they relate to the photograph as truth.
Featuring the work of famed tabloid photographer Weegee and contemporary artists Zoe Crosher and Jessamyn Lovell, Two Truths & A Lie explores the shift in photography’s role as the arbiter of fact. Wherein lies the truth of an image? In its representation? In its interpretation? Can a photograph be both documentary and fiction?
The exhibition is on view at the Jacki Headley University Art Gallery through September 30, 2017.
Two Truths & A Lie is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
